St. Michael Novena Day 6 Meditation The Powers are charged with restraining demonic forces from harming souls; through their choir, St. Michael intercedes that our souls may be protected against every snare and temptation the devil sets for us. St. Paul exhorts us to put on the whole armor of God so that we may be able to stand against the powers, the world rulers of this present darkness, the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Eph 6:11-12). The Church teaches that St. Michael is given special authority over these malevolent powers, making him the perfect intercessor for deliverance.
